Baby Swings
Baby Swings are a very popular item to register for these days. They come in all kinds of shapes and sizes, and have a wide variety of options or features.
You can get swings that swing from side to side, front to back or both. Some swings also have a vibration feature to help simulate some of the motion the baby felt in the womb. You can also find swings that have music, ocean sounds, rain sounds and many other choices. Some swings have mobiles that hang from the top, some have mirrors hanging from them, some have toy bars that hang and some have toy trays that you can attach. Of course there are also basic models that do not have much of anything.
Baby swings are one of the items I mentioned in my first post, that might not be needed. Babies can actually be very opinionated, and they typically either LOVE their swing or really DO NOT like it at all. I have three children, and out of the three of them only one LOVED it. One of my kids would allow me to put him in the swing for maybe 20 minutes or so, and the third really did not want to be in it at all.
Some parents say this is an item that they could not live without, while others say it was not really used in their house.
My recommendation is find out if your baby actually likes the swing. Maybe you know someone that is not using their baby swing and would let you borrow it. Or maybe you can go to someone’s house after the baby is born and you can give it a try. If you do decide that you would like to purchase a baby swing, I do recommend saving the receipt just in case your baby does not like it.
